About the funder

The Stiftung Perspektive Hausärztinnen und Hausärzte is a non-profit foundation based in Cologne. It originated from a family foundation established in the 1970s by a dedicated general practitioner couple. Since mid-2011, it has operated as an independent non-profit organization with the aim of promoting projects and initiatives that serve to preserve, strengthen, and ensure comprehensive primary care in Germany. Its focal points include the financial and organizational support of general medical research projects, the promotion of clinical traineeships and practical year placements in rural general practitioner practices, as well as the awarding of the FAME doctoral prize, which is announced every three years.
