About the funder

The Ros Foundation was established in 2012 to respond to current societal challenges and to contribute to the care, development, and transformation of the world in the spirit of the beautiful, the true, and the good. The foundation is particularly known for its work in preserving and redesigning the historic Ledigenheim on Rehhoffstraße, a residential home for single men in Hamburg that is over 100 years old. This project is a significant monument of Hamburg’s cultural and social history and serves as a cultural venue in the southern Neustadt district. The Ros Foundation is active in diverse fields, including art, science, religion, monument preservation, youth and elderly care, healthcare, education, welfare, equality, sports, democratic governance, civic engagement, nature conservation, and animal protection.
