About the funder

The Stiftung Schloßpark Pansevitz is a non-profit foundation under civil law, founded in 2007, dedicated to the preservation and further development of the approximately 700-year-old historic castle park in Pansevitz on the island of Rügen. It was recognized by the Ministry of the Interior of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is partly financed through proceeds from the sale of burial plots in the adjoining FriedWald as well as through endowments and donations. The foundation maintains the park through new plantings and maintenance work, organizes guided tours, rotating art exhibitions, theater and concert events, and has operated the FriedWald Rügen since 2006.

Mission & Vision

The Stiftung Schloßpark Pansevitz is committed to preserving the unique historic castle park for future generations and shaping it as a cultural meeting place. Through nature-conservation-oriented maintenance, the provision of artistic and cultural events, and the planting of new trees and shrubs, we aim to harmonize both biodiversity and cultural heritage while strengthening the connection between people and nature.

Target groups

Our funding programs and events are aimed at nature enthusiasts, art and culture aficionados, as well as historians and monument conservators. We also address volunteers, supporters, and visitors of the FriedWald, offering individuals, groups, and institutions diverse opportunities to actively contribute to the preservation and further development of the castle park.
