Mission & Vision
The Sibylle Assmus Foundation is committed to supporting young researchers in neuro-oncology and neuroregeneration. Our goal is to fund projects that contribute through innovative approaches to understanding fundamental pathomechanisms or to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods. We believe in the importance of interdisciplinary research and aim to promote outstanding scientific careers through grants of €15,000 each (neuro-oncology) and €15,000 or €10,000 (neuroregeneration/neuroplasticity).
Target groups
The Sibylle Assmus Foundation's funding awards are aimed at early-career researchers (beyond the doctoral level) at academic research institutions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Applicants who have contributed in the past three years through outstanding achievements to the understanding of mechanisms of tumor pathology or neuroregeneration, or who are currently conducting projects in experimental or clinical research, including palliative medicine, are supported. The call for applications is issued annually, with the application deadline on February 15 of each year.
