About the funder

The Stiftung Stadtsparkasse Bad Pyrmont was established on December 8, 1995, by the Stadtsparkasse Bad Pyrmont with initial capital of one million DM and was approved by the Hannover District Government within the same month. It exclusively supports projects within the business area of the Sparkasse Bad Pyrmont. The focus lies on promoting grassroots sports – particularly youth work in non-profit sports clubs –, youth care and welfare, education and upbringing of young people, purposes of the umbrella organizations of independent welfare, cultural concerns (art and monument preservation), science and research, sports, civic engagement, as well as fire protection and rescue services. Among the foundation’s activities is the support of the Bad Pyrmont Fountain Run, which includes an international marathon. Through its local commitment, the foundation makes a significant contribution to strengthening social cohesion and sustainable regional development.

Mission & Vision

The Stiftung Stadtsparkasse Bad Pyrmont is committed to sustainably improving the quality of life in the Sparkasse Bad Pyrmont’s business area through targeted funding measures. It aims in particular to strengthen children and youth, cultural initiatives, science, and civic engagement in order to promote a vibrant and future-oriented community. In doing so, it follows the principle that social cohesion and ecological transformation go hand in hand.

Target groups

The funding programs are aimed at non-profit clubs and institutions within the business area of Stadtsparkasse Bad Pyrmont. The focus is on sports clubs with youth departments, cultural and scientific institutions, organizations of independent welfare services, civic engagement initiatives, as well as providers in the fields of fire protection and emergency services. Projects that make a sustainable contribution to the social, cultural, and ecological development of the region are supported.
