About the funder

The Stiftung Supervision. Vocational Education and Counseling is a civil law foundation based in Berlin-Zehlendorf. It was established in 2007 in Bielefeld and has been located in Berlin since 2010. It promotes the professionalization of supervision and workplace counseling through public relations, support of scientific work, and assistance with specific counseling projects. Well-known programs include the Cornelis F. Wieringa Honorary Award and Promotional Award for pioneering contributions to the value-oriented professionalization of supervision.

Mission & Vision

The foundation supports and promotes counseling concepts that contribute, through their theoretical work and practical implementation, to the development and professionalization of counseling. It is guided by the traditions of supervision, group dynamics, and psychoanalytic approaches, as well as by the humanistic legacy of Cornelis F. Wieringa: mindful observation, respectful feedback, and an attitude that, alongside professional growth, allows space for joy in life.

Target groups

The target groups are supervisors, coaches, as well as consultants in workplace advisory practice. The geographical focus is on the German-speaking region. The foundation connects consultants, training institutions, and advisory research, and promotes outstanding contributions to the theory and practice of supervision.
