Mission & Vision

We see ourselves as an independent think tank for the legal framework of the energy transition. With well-founded expertise, we analyze how new legislation can contribute to achieving energy and climate policy goals and develop tailored models for politics, administration, and practice. Our goal is to further develop the legal framework so that technological innovations can be implemented and the expansion of renewable energies as well as necessary system changes can proceed rapidly.

The programs and research projects of the Environmental Energy Law Foundation are aimed at public authorities at the federal, state, and municipal levels, European and international institutions (e.g., European Commission), ministries, agencies and governments, scientific institutions and universities, nonprofit organizations, practitioners from the energy sector, administration and politics, as well as students and doctoral candidates in environmental and energy law and interested members of the professional public.
