Stiftung Umweltzentrum Heerser Mühle

With the Stiftung Umweltzentrum Heerser Mühle, the founders aim to secure the long-term preservation and further development of the Umweltzentrum Heerser Mühle at its historic location. The foundation is economically and politically independent, and is neither affiliated with any religious denomination nor political party. It allocates resources where it is meaningful in accordance with the foundation’s purpose – the promotion of environmental education and nature conservation – and provides transparent information about its activities, finances, and use of funds.

Our mission is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Heerser Mühle Environmental Center. We aim to raise awareness among children, adolescents, and adults about environmental concerns and to motivate them to engage in active environmental stewardship. In doing so, we operate sustainably, transparently, and independently.

The foundation is aimed at sponsors and donors who wish to support the foundation’s purpose both ideologically and financially. This includes private individuals, companies, and institutions of all sizes interested in sustainable environmental education and nature conservation. At the same time, children, adolescents, and adults benefit directly as visitors of the environmental center from the funded programs and projects.
