About the funder
The Waldorf Education Foundation Saxony-Anhalt was established in 2014 as a development of the founding and support association of the Free Waldorf School Thale. As a non-profit foundation, it promotes education and upbringing in the field of Waldorf education in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. From the proceeds of its endowment capital, it particularly supports the founding of new Waldorf schools and kindergartens during the initial years before the commencement of state subsidies and promotes the recruitment and qualification of teachers and educators.

Mission & Vision
The Waldorf Education Foundation Saxony-Anhalt is committed to the sustainable development and strengthening of Waldorf education in the region. It provides financial support and advisory guidance for initiatives, schools, and kindergartens, and promotes the establishment and operation of Waldorf educational institutions in a spirit of solidarity, enabling children and young people to receive a holistic, artistically creative, and socially oriented education.
Target groups
Waldorf educational initiatives, new establishments, and existing institutions (Free Waldorf Schools and Waldorf Kindergartens) in Saxony-Anhalt, as well as their sponsors, are supported. In addition, the foundation supports projects for the qualification and recruitment of teachers and educators for Waldorf education in the region.
