Stiftung Walter K. Werner
About the funder
The Walter K. Werner Foundation was established in memory of Walter K. Werner by his three sons Christian, Wolfgang, and Siegfried Werner. Its mission is to preserve the Erzgebirge customs and folk art of Seiffen for future generations and to promote the regional craft culture. The foundation supports local projects such as the Kugeltour Seiffen, the "Silberholz" cultural center, the playground at the summer toboggan run, as well as sculpture and Christmas initiatives at the country house. Through its funding, it aims to keep the traditional toy village identity alive and to sustainably strengthen craft businesses and artists in the region.
