About the funder
The Foundation for the Promotion of the KINDERHÄUSER BLAUER ELEFANT in the Stormarn District supports the work of the three BLAUER ELEFANT children’s homes in Ahrensburg, Bad Oldesloe, and Bargteheide through annual disbursements. As a growing private foundation, it collects endowments to increase its foundation capital and accepts donations. The proceeds from a foundation-owned photovoltaic system on the children’s home in Ahrensburg also flow into the foundation’s asset base.

Mission & Vision
Our goal is to ensure the long-term security and further development of the Kinderhäuser BLAUER ELEFANT through sustainable financial support and the expansion of the foundation's capital. We aim to provide children and families in crisis situations with a reliable point of contact and to strengthen the educational work on site.

The target group consists especially of children of preschool and school age, as well as caregivers who require professional psychosocial and educational assistance.
