About the funder
The Studienstiftung Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen e.V. was founded around 25 years ago within the Berufsverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen e.V. Originally, scholarships were awarded to outstanding psychology students. Since 2019, the foundation has instead been awarding a Nachwuchspreis for applied psychology, endowed with 2,000 euros, at irregular intervals. With this award, it aims to honor outstanding master's theses on a published focal topic and to build a bridge between research and practice.

Mission & Vision
The Studienstiftung aims to support young talents in the field of psychology by awarding outstanding theses in applied psychology. Through the Nachwuchspreis, students are to gain perspectives for further scientific work and career entry, while practice-relevant research is strengthened.
Target groups
The funding opportunities are aimed at Master's students of psychology in Germany who produce outstanding work in the field of applied psychology. Eligible to apply are students whose Master's thesis demonstrates very high scientific quality and aligns with the respective announced topic. The scholarship foundation thus addresses young researchers who wish to anchor their research projects in practical applications.
