Technologiestiftung Brandenburg

The Technologiestiftung Brandenburg is a legally capable, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Potsdam. It is supervised by the Ministry of the Interior and for Municipal Affairs of the State of Brandenburg and pursues exclusively tax-privileged purposes. According to its statutes, it promotes science and research, particularly in the field of innovative technologies, through the awarding of grants to companies for research and development, the organization and support of joint projects with companies and scientific institutions, the conduct of scientific events, seminars, and training measures, as well as the awarding of scholarships to young scientists and research prizes for outstanding achievements. Among its best-known foundation projects are the Innovation Award Berlin Brandenburg and Jugend forscht Brandenburg, which strengthen knowledge and technology transfer in the region.

The Technologiestiftung Brandenburg is committed to promoting research and development of innovative technologies in Berlin and Brandenburg. Our goal is to develop pioneering insights and applications through close cooperation with scientific institutions and companies, thereby sustainably strengthening technology and knowledge transfer in the capital region.

The funding programs are aimed at research institutions and universities in Berlin and Brandenburg; start-ups, spin-offs, and established companies focusing on innovative technologies; young scientists seeking qualification for training and further education at home and abroad; as well as participants in school and university competitions (e.g., Jugend forscht).
