About the funder
The THOR Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Speyer, which was recognized by Thor GmbH in July 2004. With an endowment of approximately 2 million euros, it exclusively supports one-time charitable and social projects in the greater Speyer area. A committee of employees from Thor GmbH decides annually on the allocation of funds.

Mission & Vision
The THOR Foundation is committed to sustainably strengthening nonprofit and charitable organizations in the greater Speyer area. Through targeted one-time funding contributions, it supports projects in youth and elderly care as well as in the welfare sector, aiming to improve the quality of life for children, adolescents, seniors, and socially disadvantaged individuals.
Target groups
Eligible for funding are non-profit, public, and private institutions in the greater Speyer area with a charitable character, in particular elderly and senior care facilities, child and youth welfare institutions, kindergartens and nurseries, welfare associations, independent providers and affiliated social initiatives, as well as municipal projects in cities and communities. Public mandatory tasks, ongoing operating costs, and regular subsidies are not funded.
