About the funder
The VERBRAUCHER AN-STIFTUNG was established in 2002 to financially support the objectives of the SozialÖkologie e. V. association and the Bremen Producer-Consumer Cooperative. As a community foundation, it collects endowments and donations that are invested for the long term. The interest income is used to permanently and sustainably fund projects that implement consumer and agricultural policy alternatives and concretely promote ecological behavior in the cultivation, processing, and consumption of our food in Bremen and the surrounding area.

Mission & Vision
The VERBRAUCHER AN-STIFTUNG is committed to promoting socially and environmentally responsible, regionally oriented purchasing and eating habits through consumer education and awareness. The goal is to support sustainable ecological agriculture in Bremen and its surroundings and to establish the idea that "Only regional is truly organic" on a broad societal basis.
Target groups
The foundation targets consumers in Bremen, agricultural enterprises, and initiatives committed to sustainable consumption and organic farming. It supports projects and organizations in Bremen and the surrounding area that strengthen regional value chains and engage consumers in a practical way for healthy, environmentally friendly nutrition. Additionally, the foundation addresses endowers and donors contributing amounts starting from 1,000 euros (endowment) or any amount (donation) who wish to support the work on a long-term basis.
