Vogelsbergstiftung für Kultur und Natur
About the funder
The Vogelsberg Foundation for Culture and Nature is a partner foundation of the Bürgerstiftung Mittelhessen and was established in 2009 by Erhard Müth from Gedern († 2023). With a capital of 35,000 euros, the foundation supports projects in the Vogelsberg district that serve nature conservation, landscape management, monument protection, and educational work related to rural culture. The Bürgerstiftung Mittelhessen handles asset management and administrative tasks, while the Vogelsberg Foundation operates independently on an operational level. The advisory board, consisting of Christian Leibner, Claudia Blum, Bernd Uwe Domes, and Klaus Tamme, supports the allocation of the foundation’s proceeds and additionally raises donations. Examples of funded projects include the Schotten Vulkaneum and the information board at the Bismarck Tower on the Taufstein.
