About the funder
The Willi Dauberschmidt Foundation is a public foundation under civil law based in Dinkelsbühl. It was established in 2009 by the construction entrepreneur Willi Dauberschmidt and has an endowment capital of one million euros. The purpose of the foundation is to promote young talents in the fields of youth welfare, sports, education, culture, and vocational training. Once a year, it awards a sponsorship prize in the form of a one-time cash payment. Over the past 16 years, the foundation has supported young talents with prize money totaling approximately €330,000. Administration is carried out by an independent board of trustees and a foundation management board.

Mission & Vision
The Willi Dauberschmidt Foundation is committed to recognizing and sustainably supporting outstanding achievements of young people under the age of 35 in Dinkelsbühl and the surrounding area. By awarding a one-time grant prize, it aims to provide impetus in the fields of youth welfare, sports, education, culture, and vocational training, thereby strengthening the personal and professional development of young talents in the long term.
Target groups
The target group consists of natural persons who have not yet reached the age of 35 at the time of application and who have had their school, training, or primary residence for an extended period in the former district of Dinkelsbühl (Burk, Dinkelsbühl, Dürrwangen, Ehingen, Gerolfingen, Langfurth, Mönchsroth, Röckingen, Schopfloch, Unterschwaningen, Wassertrüdingen, Weiltingen, Wilburgstetten, Wittelshofen). Funding is provided to those who have achieved outstanding performance in school, training, studies, sports, or the arts.
