Mission & Vision
The Winter Foundation for the Rights of Nature is committed to ensuring that law effectively obliges responsible action in the interest of sustainability. It believes that environmental awareness and ecologically sustainable economic activity can only be achieved if nature and the environment are granted and enforced constitutional and civil law rights. Therefore, the foundation specifically promotes legal research, events, and media contributions that advance environmental law, and supports actors in enforcing these rights nationally and internationally.
Target groups
Primarily supported are: legal scholars and research institutions in the field of environmental and nature law; legally oriented projects, publications, and media contributions aimed at the advancement of environmental law; tax-privileged entities actively involved in litigation concerning environmental protection law; organizers and initiatives promoting environmentally focused legal development; as well as domestic and international organizations pursuing comparable objectives and cooperating with the foundation.
