The Zukunftsstiftung of the Stadtsparkasse Nürnberg for the City of Nürnberg was established in 2000 and continues the long-standing tradition of philanthropic commitment of the Sparkasse Nürnberg. As a non-profit foundation, it supports sustainable and diverse investment projects in Nürnberg and promotes the common good of the city and its citizens. Through substantial grants, it makes a positive contribution to the local quality of life by funding projects in the fields of science and research, arts and culture, monument preservation, youth and elderly care, education and upbringing, environmental and nature conservation, remembrance of victims and persecuted persons, international understanding, equality, marriage and family, sports, local heritage and customs preservation, as well as consumer advice and protection.

The Zukunftsstiftung der Stadtsparkasse Nürnberg für die Stadt Nürnberg aims to sustainably strengthen the common good of the city and its citizens. Through targeted support of non-profit projects in diverse social sectors, it seeks to make Nuremberg future-proof and livable, while providing impetus for an engaged, diverse urban development.

The foundation targets non-profit organizations, associations, institutions, and initiatives based in the city of Nuremberg that aim to implement innovative and sustainable projects in the fields of science, culture, youth and elderly care, education, environmental and nature conservation, commemoration, international understanding, equality, family, sports, heritage preservation, as well as consumer advice. Both individual applications and joint projects that enrich the social, cultural, and ecological coexistence in Nuremberg are eligible for funding.
