About the funder
The Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft is a non-profit foundation of GLS Treuhand e.V. based in Bochum. Since its inception, it has supported projects aimed at sustainable and ecological agriculture in Germany. Its funding portfolio includes the Seed Fund for organic plant breeding, the Animal Breeding Fund for species-appropriate animal husbandry, the Agricultural Education Fund to promote school farms and training projects, as well as the Open Project Funding for interdisciplinary research and practice-oriented initiatives. Mission & Vision
The Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft aims to advance innovations in organic farming through targeted support and to promote the transition to a sustainable agricultural and food system. Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at non-profit organizations under German non-profit law, including associations, foundations, research institutions, and educational establishments. Projects that contribute to ecological plant and animal breeding, agricultural education, and interdisciplinary research, thereby strengthening environmental, species, and climate protection in agriculture, are supported. Natural persons and private enterprises are excluded from project funding.
