33rd Student Basketball Championships

The 33rd Student Basketball Championships of the Youth Foundation of Sparkasse Karlsruhe invite you to the School Cup Karlsruhe 2026 on March 25 and 26, 2026, at the Europahalle Karlsruhe. For the first time, in addition to the well-known competition classes for boys and girls (born 2009 and later), mixed teams born 2013 and later as well as a new competition class D for primary schools from the Sparkasse Karlsruhe service area will be admitted. Over two exciting tournament days, motivated young basketball players from general education schools will compete to measure their athletic skills, strengthen team spirit, and gain valuable competitive experience. A supporting program, organized in cooperation with Post Südstadt Karlsruhe e. V., offers additional opportunities for community, exchange, and social networking.

Participation is reserved for educational institutions within the Sparkasse Karlsruhe catchment area and is only possible through the schools’ sports teachers. Applications require confirmation from the school administration (stamp and signature), a complete call for entries (PDF), and participation declarations from the legal guardians. Registrations must be received by February 4, 2026. Each team may have a maximum of 12 players; game balls must be provided by the teams themselves. The organizer is the Youth Foundation of Sparkasse Karlsruhe in cooperation with Post Südstadt Karlsruhe e. V. The championships are under the patronage of the Mayor of Karlsruhe and coordinated with the Karlsruhe Regional Council. This school sports event not only promotes physical activity in schools but also supports the transition to club sports and enriches school life through fair competition and shared experiences.
