Description
The 4C Accelerator Workshops is a free qualification program by the Foundation for Medical Innovations that specifically supports early-stage MedTech startup projects in Baden-Württemberg. Twice a year, up to eight teams with medical device or in-vitro diagnostics ideas from the pre-startup or early startup phase can participate. The program includes 15 interactive workshop sessions, in which internal 4C experts together with subject matter experts impart practical knowledge on the topics of Commercialization, Certification, Clinical Studies, and Copyright. This is followed by six months of individual coaching by Medical Innovations Incubator GmbH to implement work packages from the workshops and develop market-ready business models. The modular combination of knowledge transfer, exercises, and individual feedback enables teams to overcome regulatory hurdles and become investor-ready.
The aim of the funding is to sustainably bring medically innovative ideas to market while strengthening entrepreneurial feasibility, scalability, and regional relevance to Baden-Württemberg. Applications are submitted within set deadlines – for Batch 11 from December 1, 2025, to February 10, 2026 – using a standardized form and a pitch deck. Selection is based on the degree of innovation, medical relevance, team diversity, as well as business and market maturity of the concepts. The structured workshops provide a clear roadmap through the complex requirements of the healthcare sector, while the individual coaching ensures the sustainable implementation of the developed measures. This way, founding teams receive all the tools to successfully advance their MedTech projects both regulatorily and economically.
