Description
The Ravensburg Children's Foundation supports non-profit theater projects for primary and secondary school classes in Baden-Württemberg through sponsorship in cooperation with the Theater Ravensburg. This cultural-educational offering is aimed at children and young people aged 6–17 from diverse cultural backgrounds. In close collaboration with teachers and theater educators, playfully staged performances are created that make values such as acceptance, appreciation, coexistence, mutual respect, and social courage tangible. The goal is to open up theater acting as a creative learning space and to strengthen the class community as well as cross-class cohesion. Currently, the program is in a project-free phase – information about the next call for applications will be published shortly.
Funding is provided exclusively to non-profit educational institutions and public sponsors wishing to implement a theater-educational project with a school class. Under the guidance of teachers and theater educators, participants develop their own plays, which are publicly performed at the end of the school year. Through playful engagement with social topics, young people develop self-confidence and social commitment. This program links the areas of culture, education, children and youth, as well as social cohesion, and contributes to democratic education. As soon as the next application round begins, all relevant dates and requirements will be published on the Ravensburg Children's Foundation website.
