Description

The EU School Program in Brandenburg supports educational institutions and companies in the discounted distribution of drinking milk and lactose-free drinking milk to daycare and school children. The aim of the funding is to ensure regular access to nutrient-rich foods and thus promote a balanced diet. Through the subsidy of €0.50 per liter, children receive important nutrients such as calcium, high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals. The program also contributes to nutritional education and promotes the development of healthy eating habits from an early age.

Eligible participants include daycare centers, primary schools, and secondary school forms as well as school authorities, who either act directly as applicants or receive discounted deliveries through dairies or retailers. A prerequisite is approval according to EU law by the State Office for Rural Development, Agriculture and Land Consolidation (LELF) as well as the submission of an entitlement certificate. Written applications can be submitted at any time; the required forms are available on the LELF website. The maximum distribution quantity is 0.25 liters per child per school or care day. Administrative controls and random evaluations ensure proper implementation and guarantee a sustainable impact of the program on the health and education of young people.
