Administrative Relief at Compulsory Schools

Public compulsory schools in Vorarlberg are provided with a special hourly allocation to carry out administrative tasks and sustainably relieve school management. The secretarial staff employed for this purpose are initially financed by the respective public school authorities and can be subsidized by the State of Vorarlberg at a fixed reimbursement rate. This continuously available grant measure is exclusively aimed at public institutions in the state of Vorarlberg and covers personnel expenses for administration. A prerequisite for a successful application is the timely submission of the application, the signing of an agreement between the school authority and the State of Vorarlberg, as well as the actual proof of administrative hours performed by qualified personnel.

The application deadlines are divided into half-year periods: for the period from September to December, the application must be submitted by January 10 of the following year at the latest, while applications for the period from January to August must be received by the office by August 31 of the same year. Required are the formal application as well as the signed agreement with the State of Vorarlberg. Public school authorities benefit from this funding by gaining planning security for secretarial resources while sustainably reducing the administrative burden at compulsory schools. The measure has been offered since 2009 and continues without a time limit.
