Description
Aktion Aufwind offers straightforward individual case and project funding for socially disadvantaged children and young people up to 25 years old in the city and district of Rosenheim. The goal is the sustainable improvement of equal opportunities for young people from low-income families whose parents rely on government assistance or belong to low-wage earners. Since 2012, the Sparkassenstiftung Zukunft has supported innovative measures in the fields of social affairs, child and youth welfare, as well as work & social issues with a steadily growing endowment fund. In addition to individual assistance for school supplies or holiday activities, larger projects are also funded to break cycles of poverty and strengthen participation in social life.
Eligible for funding are private individuals and non-profit organizations; applications can be submitted at any time through a contact point of the independent welfare organizations. Requirements include residence in the funding area, proof of government benefits or low income, and a fully completed application form. Grants are awarded based on urgency, appropriateness of need, and social impact. The allocation committee meets five times a year to decide promptly and continuously on support requests. Committed parents, caregivers, and professionals thus find established assistance that truly gives young people a boost.
