Everything for the Little Ones

Since 2011, the Dietrich Fenske Foundation of the Haspa Hamburg Foundation has been supporting day care centers and other early childhood education institutions in Hamburg and the surrounding area. Through a charitable grant program titled Everything for the Little Ones, it assists childcare facilities for preschool-aged children in expanding their educational and social offerings. Prerequisites for funding include having a location or activity in the Hamburg region, proof of charitable status, and the provision of care and support measures for the youngest children. Thanks to the dynamic endowment following the founder’s death in 2020, the foundation’s assets have steadily grown, enabling sustainable support for a wide range of projects—from movement landscapes to music and cultural programs to climate-conscious breakfast initiatives.

With continuously accepted applications, the funding program offers flexible planning options and responds quickly to the needs of the institutions. The initiative’s goal is to provide children with the best possible start in life and to contribute to societal development in the long term. The Dietrich Fenske Foundation thereby honors the life’s work of its founder, who wished to dedicate his legacy to the benefit of future generations. Projects such as the Klangstrolche by the Kultur Palast Foundation or movement activities at the Bewegungskita Ritterstraße exemplify how diverse and creative funding can be utilized.
