Description

The General Energy Promotion of the State of Salzburg supports a variety of initiatives aimed at a sustainable energy future within the framework of the SALZBURG 2050 Climate and Energy Strategy. Funding is provided for measures to increase energy efficiency, the use of renewable energies, and the expansion of environmentally friendly e-mobility infrastructure. Funds are also allocated to projects in further education, research, and development to advance innovative technologies in the region. An ongoing submission process allows for flexible project implementation, with funding granted as a direct subsidy.

Eligible applicants include natural and legal persons – such as private households, companies, interest groups, public law entities, as well as agricultural and forestry enterprises based in the State of Salzburg. Conditions for approval include, among others, the proper implementation of the project as per the application with corresponding evidence (copies of invoices, payment receipts), transparent accounting, reference to the funding from the State of Salzburg in all press and public relations activities, and the annual reporting of operational data or evaluation reports on the environmental impact. Additionally, a reasonable own contribution is required, and the project must not be feasible without public funds. The application documents include the current funding guidelines, information sheets, and the application form available in the online Funding Manager. Applications can generally be submitted at any time before the start of the project; in justified exceptional cases, a retroactive application is also possible.
