Description
The funding initiative "General Health Promotion Projects" supports non-profit associations, self-help groups, and other organizations in Salzburg in implementing effective health promotion and prevention projects. The focus is on measures to increase protective factors, strengthen personal and social resources, and improve health-related living conditions in various life settings. By reducing behavioral and non-behavioral risk factors, the program contributes to sustainable health development and relies on innovative approaches that create genuine added value compared to existing offerings. Project sponsors benefit from financial support to implement setting-based concepts, promote networked cooperation, and document and continuously optimize their effectiveness within the framework of accompanying evaluation.
Applications for the following year must be submitted by June 1st each year. Funding prerequisites include compliance with the guidelines of the Salzburg Regional Health Directorate for the provision of budget funds, the General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding by the State of Salzburg, as well as a causal project reference to the federal state of Salzburg. Funded are personnel costs, operating costs, and other expenses; expenses incurred before the application or inappropriate uses are not recognized. Selection is made taking into account equal opportunities, empowerment, setting approach, participation, sustainability, and networking. Submitted projects should contain realistic objectives, a well-founded needs analysis, and clear action plans. Required documents include a completed funding application, a financing plan with total costs, own contributions and third-party funds, proof of legal status including authorization to represent, the latest financial statement, the annual budget, as well as a declaration regarding proof of use and data protection.
