Description
The General Sports Promotion supports Burgenland sports umbrella and specialist associations as well as clubs based in Burgenland in the professional development of their offerings and the organization of competitions outside of school institutions. Funding is provided particularly for measures related to coach qualification, the planning and realization of national and international sporting events in Burgenland, as well as travel cost reimbursements for sports clubs and regional associations outside of elite sports. Eligible to apply are recognized Burgenland associations and clubs that are members of a Burgenland specialist association and participate in organized specialist association championships. This funding instrument has been available indefinitely since June 2013 and continuously opens new application opportunities in the areas of sports, culture, and media.
Eligible expenses include coach fees, event logistics, and travel costs. Prerequisites include proven residence in Burgenland, association membership, participation in specialist association championships, and official recognition as an umbrella or specialist association. For the application, among other documents, a completed form, bank details, the financial statement of the previous sports year, activity report, and result lists must be submitted. Specific deadlines are determined according to the dates set out in the guidelines. By providing a grant, the State of Burgenland makes a significant contribution to strengthening grassroots and recreational sports structures and promotes sporting engagement at the regional level.
