Description
The funding supports the internationalization of the tourism industry in Upper Austria as well as the implementation of joint projects by Upper Austrian tourism companies. Target groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as loose associations such as working groups, economic and non-profit organizations based in Upper Austria that recognize the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria. Personnel, material, and investment expenses are funded at 100% as non-repayable grants without any own cost risk. The aim is to strengthen competitiveness in international markets, promote cross-border cooperation, and sustainably advance regional tourism development.
An informal application including a funding declaration can be submitted at any time; there is no fixed deadline. Required documents include, in addition to the funding declaration, a detailed project description and a cost/financing plan. After project completion, a project report, cost/financing proof, invoices, and payment receipts must be submitted so that the Department of Economy can release the payment as a one-time aid. The processing is carried out by the Directorate for Regional Planning, Economic and Rural Development, Department of Economy and Research. Through uncomplicated submission, transparent review, and a 100% funding rate, the program opens up diverse opportunities for regional tourism professionals to successfully take the step into international business.
