This program aims to support the implementation of the objectives in the regional environmental program Course: Environment 2030, including: preserving a livable environment in Upper Austria; managing and consuming responsibly; eating ecologically and healthily; building and living sustainably; designing environmentally compatible mobility; orienting infrastructure towards environmental goals and resilience.

Description
The General Environmental Funding in Upper Austria continuously supports the implementation of the guiding objectives formulated in the state environmental program Course: Environment 2030. As a direct grant, this funding instrument is aimed at natural and legal persons – including private individuals, companies, public institutions, non-profit organizations, interest groups, as well as other associations. Projects in the fields of environmental and nature conservation, climate protection, education for sustainable development, energy efficiency and climate protection, as well as training and further education, are supported. Submissions are possible at any time, as there is no fixed deadline.
The aim of the funding is to preserve a livable environment in Upper Austria, to strengthen responsible economic activity and consumption, to promote ecological and healthy nutrition, as well as sustainable building, living, and environmentally friendly mobility. Applicants must acknowledge and comply with the current guidelines for environmental funding in Upper Austria as well as the General Funding Guidelines of the state. There is no legal entitlement to funding. A written application is required for submission; supplementary documents are to be provided upon request. After verification of completeness and compliance with the funding requirements, payment of state funds as a grant will be made upon positive approval. This program offers a proven funding scheme to efficiently implement sustainable projects in various areas and to realize the goals of the environmental program Course: Environment 2030 in the long term.
