Description

The Kunststiftung NRW continuously supports outstanding and forward-looking artistic projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. Projects in the fields of literature, music, performing arts, and visual arts that generate impulses through new productions, exhibitions, concert series, festivals, publications, or research initiatives are supported. Applicants can be individuals, non-profit organizations, or public institutions that demonstrate sustainability and innovation in their artistic activities through their connection to the NRW region. Applications can be submitted at any time via the Kunststiftung’s online portal and are granted as non-repayable subsidies.

Funding is provided not only for solo or ensemble-organized formats but also for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches, the acquisition and preservation of significant art objects, and international cultural exchange. A special focus is placed on supporting particularly talented artists and ensembles, who are strengthened, for example, through scholarships, residencies, and awards. The evaluation primarily considers the artistic quality and innovative strength of the project, ecological and organizational sustainability, diversity, accessibility, as well as fair remuneration for all participants. This aims to generate effective artistic impulses in North Rhine-Westphalia and strengthen long-term structures.
