Description
Within the framework of the AMIF 21-27 funding initiative, projects are supported that collect well-founded information on the situation in the countries of origin of asylum seekers, continuously analyze it, and provide it in a joint country of origin information database. The data obtained are exchanged with other EU Member States and supplemented by fact-finding missions if necessary, in order to formulate recommendations for the expansion of protection measures and perspectives on site. At the same time, mechanisms for regular updating, quality assurance, and needs-based provision of the information are established. Experts from research & innovation, digitization, labor, and social projects thus receive a reliable basis for evidence-based decision-making processes and European cooperation on migration issues.
Eligible for funding are legal entities under public and private law, international organizations, and cooperation partnerships. The instrument grants a subsidy of up to 75% of eligible costs; the minimum funding amount is €100,000 per project per year, with a total volume of €3.368 million. Eligible applicants include public institutions, companies, non-profit organizations, and other legal entities in the federal state of Vienna. Eligible costs include, among others:
- Personnel expenses
- Material costs and IT development
- Travel and study costs
- Fact-finding missions
Sufficient documentation (project description, financing plan, proof of legal entity, certificates of good standing) must be submitted continuously by no later than December 31, 2029.
