Funding requirements

Description
The funding program AMIF-M 2.4 “Start-up Assistance for an Independent Life” supports recently recognized asylum seekers, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, and displaced persons in Vienna in quickly integrating into Austrian society. Eligible applicants can be associations, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, companies, foundations, or public institutions. The objective is to facilitate “arrival” through a coordinated information, qualification, and counseling offer and to strengthen the participants’ personal responsibility. The focus is on language promotion, preparatory vocational courses, and individual coaching modules, as well as practical assistance in everyday life. Innovative approaches that create sustainable employment opportunities and promote social participation are particularly highly valued.
The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant with a financing rate of 75% up to 90% (in accordance with Regulation 2021/1147). Eligible costs include personnel expenses, rent and leasing fees, travel costs, target group-specific expenses, material costs, and subcontracting. Excluded are investments in real estate, motor vehicles, criminal and legal costs, representation expenses, and alcoholic beverages. Eligible organizations must contribute at least 25% own funds and submit the project in a public call. Required documents include a project description with a timeline and financing plan, the special guideline AMIF_Sonderrichtlinie_BKA, and proof of target group relevance. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no deadline. Selection is based on the degree of innovation, effectiveness of integration measures, and sustainability aspects.
