Description
Apply AI: AI-Driven Robotics for Industry – Enabling System Integration and Adoption is an EU-funded innovation initiative under the “Partnership in AI, Data and Robotics.” It targets companies and educational institutions in EU member states and associated countries, particularly system integrators, robotics providers, and small to medium-sized industrial enterprises (SMEs). The objective is the development and validation of modular, interoperable integration frameworks including pilot applications and open-source components to accelerate the transfer of AI-driven robotics solutions into industrial applications. The total funding amount is €18 million, granted as a project subsidy with a funding rate between 70% and 100%. Eligible costs include personnel expenses, material and supply costs, subcontractor services, and travel expenses. Purchases of mass-produced robots and production costs beyond pilot series are not eligible. The minimum number of participants is three independent legal entities from different countries, selected through an open EU-wide procurement procedure. Required documents include the standard application form (HE RIA/IA), a project description, and a financing plan.
Evaluation is based on the degree of innovation, the relevance and sustainability of the expected results, as well as the quality and efficiency of the consortium organization. Successful projects contribute to ensuring interoperability, market introduction through practical pilots, and the creation of user guides. Budget overruns may be considered in the funding rate and final funding amount. The submission deadline is March 18, 2027, 17:00 (Brussels time). Interested legal entities must be registered and validated by the deadline.
