Description

The state of Carinthia supports authors and artists in the fields of film, literature, and visual arts with continuously announced working and completion grants. The aim is to encourage creatives with a connection to Carinthia in the development of new or advanced projects and to enable their completion. An independent jury selects the funding contributions based on submitted text samples, portfolios, and detailed project descriptions. In the literary field, the completion grant also requires a significantly advanced stage of the manuscript. The grantees bear any applicable tax and insurance costs themselves and are responsible for submitting timely proof of use and performance. There is no legal entitlement to funding, and only one project may be submitted per application deadline.

Eligible applicants are natural persons who were born or are active in Carinthia or whose work has a significant connection to the state of Carinthia. Applications can be submitted at any time via a completed and handwritten signed online form including a CV, detailed project description, and the required text and work samples. Projects that have already been completed or previously funded are excluded from participation. Submissions are continuously published on the Culture Channel and can be submitted without a fixed deadline. Further information on submission modalities and current application deadlines is available on the Culture Channel of the state of Carinthia.
