Description

The athlete support program of the OlympiaNachwuchs Baden-Württemberg Foundation is aimed at talented young elite athletes up to 23 years old who compete in Olympic and Paralympic disciplines and have their residence or sporting license in Baden-Württemberg. The focus is on targeted support for young talents with the goal of reaching major international events such as the Olympic or Paralympic Games, World and European Championships. Alongside athletic development, the foundation promotes dual career planning alongside school or work and relieves its beneficiaries through monthly grants of up to €200, thereby minimizing financial bottlenecks and optimizing focus on training and performance. The support extends over a period of twelve months and is decided upon in four board meetings annually.

Prerequisites for funding include membership in a youth squad (NK 1 or NK 2 or national squad), proof of consistent sporting success and a recognizable upward trajectory, as well as a coherent dual career plan. Social and health conditions are also considered in the selection process, as well as statements from the responsible Olympic training center and the respective national governing body. Applicants submit the fully completed form along with current performance and income certificates, documentation of expenses and liabilities, as well as school or enrollment certificates through their career advisor. In this way, the OlympiaNachwuchs Foundation sustainably supports the next generation of Baden-Württemberg athletes on their path to the international top level.
