Description

The EU-wide call for proposals “Attracting management talent for capacity building for Technology Infrastructures staff members (CSA)” targets public institutions, educational establishments, non-profit organizations, and companies from all EU Member States and associated countries. The objective is to develop innovative strategies and modular training programs to recruit and qualify management professionals to more efficiently steer European technology infrastructures in research and industrial collaborations. Led by a consortium of at least three independent institutions from three different countries within the EU or associated states, practice-oriented training content will be created that is cross-sectoral, digitally accessible, and continuously updatable. A focus lies on promoting leadership skills, technical expertise such as data management or quality assurance, as well as entrepreneurial abilities that benefit young start-ups and established industrial partners. The funding rate is 100%, with a grant amount of up to EUR 2.5 million per project, to be submitted by 21 April 2026. Besides registration in the EU Participant Register, minimum requirements include a complete project outline and the involvement of three partners from different countries.

The project supports the overarching Horizon Europe objective of enhancing Europe’s competitiveness in a digitalized and green industrial society. The established networks facilitate the exchange of best practices between research and technology institutions and strengthen cross-border cooperation. Through practical application of the developed concepts, the visibility and utilization of technology services, especially among SMEs, start-ups, and scale-ups, will be increased. The submission includes, among other documents, the standard application form, project outline, budget plan, and CVs of key personnel. A thorough evaluation will be conducted based on innovation content, European dimension, and feasibility. This call offers participating institutions the opportunity to promote the next generation of European management talent and sustainably strengthen the EU’s technological sovereignty through excellently qualified personnel.
