Description

The Heinz Bosl Foundation invites talented dancers aged 17 to 21 to participate in the audition for the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich. In a two-year junior company, sixteen selected emerging artists receive the unique opportunity to gain their first professional experience and present a diverse repertoire of classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works on renowned stages in Bavaria and beyond. Recipients of this funding benefit from intensive artistic guidance, rehearsals with experienced ballet masters, and regular performances alongside the Bavarian State Ballet at the National Theatre. Collaboration with renowned choreographers and the development of new creations equally promote technical skills and interpretative sensitivity.

Applicants of German and international origin must meet the age criterion between 17 and 21 years and demonstrate their artistic performance, technical precision, and interpretative ability during the audition. The auditions for the 2026/27 season have already concluded; all candidates will be informed of their placement by the end of February 2026. This talent promotion is aimed at all dedicated individuals with classical dance training who wish to further develop their skills on a professional stage. The funding is provided as a participation grant and covers essential aspects of rehearsal and performance work. Interested parties can find further information on the Foundation’s website, where they will also gain comprehensive insight into the junior company concept and the project’s course over the entire 24-month duration.
