Description

The :do Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, and other associations in the EU with the program “On the Way”, which comprehensively assist refugees and migrants at the EU external borders as well as within Europe. The goal is to provide those facing the challenges of their often traumatic journey with new strength, security, and independence. This includes medical aid, material support with food and goods, accommodation costs, as well as legal advice and psychological care. Additionally, empowerment courses, workshops, and experiential modules are funded to create a solid foundation for self-reliant integration and social participation in safe destination regions.

Eligible for funding are nonprofit foundations, public institutions, interest groups, associations, and educational providers with proven nonprofit status or legal organizational structure. Applications for projects at the EU external borders can be submitted from the activation of the application form for the 2027 funding year; initiatives in East Germany will be considered from the second half of 2026. Eligible expenses include medical aid, food and goods deliveries, housing costs, legal counseling services, psychological care, as well as costs for courses and workshops. Through targeted support, the program develops sustainable structures for integrative approaches and strengthens engagement in favor of refugees. Interested projects benefit from a grant that expands existing resources and opens up long-term prospects for those seeking protection.
