Description

The funding is aimed at non-profit associations and initiatives that support refugees at the EU external borders and in Europe with initial care and empowerment. With a financial grant of up to €5,000, projects in the fields of migration, health, social affairs, education, work & social issues, as well as vocational training, are strengthened. Needs-based measures such as medical assistance, food and material supplies, accommodation (housing), legal advice, psychosocial support, as well as workshops and training sessions are funded. The goal is to give refugees new strength, independence, and confidence so that they can actively shape their life prospects.

Only non-profit organizations with the corresponding exemption certificate are eligible for funding. Applications are submitted in a standardized manner via the website of the :do Foundation and are subject to fixed deadlines, which can be viewed on the website. Funds are awarded both as structural support for long-term projects and as project funding for start-up financing and follow-up projects. There are no time limits for the duration, so applications can be submitted continuously. Informal contact is not possible; the complete application requires proof of non-profit status. The call for proposals emphasizes sustainable impact and targeted use of funds to ensure professional and needs-based support for those seeking protection.
