The August-Schärttner Prize honors outstanding volunteer work in sports clubs of the Main-Kinzig district in Hesse. As an ongoing sponsorship initiative in the field of Sports, Culture & Media, this award annually recognizes the tireless efforts of volunteer instructors and coaches. Its aim is to highlight social, political, and humanitarian commitment in sports and to enhance the appeal of volunteer work.
