Description

The funding supports temporary agency workers throughout Austria in their professional qualification through financial subsidies for training and further education in accordance with § 3 of the SWF Service Regulations. The goal is to increase employability and ensure long-term employment within an existing, unresolved employment or service relationship. Applicants must be employed at the start and until the end of the measure by a properly registered temporary employment agency that has paid its contributions to the Social and Training Fund on time. Only courses and examinations, materials, fees, as well as wage and salary costs at recognized educational institutions with a concluded SWF framework agreement are eligible for funding. E-learning offerings are permitted in exceptional cases.

Through the SWF online portal, private temporary agency workers can submit an application until 31.12.2026. Upon positive approval by the board, maximum subsidies of up to €7,000 per year are granted. Applications must be submitted before the start of the training or further education; proof such as participation certificates, diplomas, and billing documents must be uploaded within six months after completion. A prerequisite for funding is also that the weekly training scope corresponds to the previous employment extent and that the measure is listed in the SWF training and further education directory. Combining this with educational leave, part-time educational allowance, or skilled worker scholarships creates an attractive supplement to sustainably strengthen professional prospects and reduce qualification deficits. Interested temporary agency workers thereby gain access to further training opportunities that significantly improve their market chances.
