Description
The Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration supports this program to promote the integration of people with asylum backgrounds as well as people with migration backgrounds and integration barriers into the field of vocational training. Professionals who specifically assist young participants in the phases of acquisition, counseling, support, placement, and aftercare in their search for training positions are funded. Through the deployment of professionally qualified staff, not only training companies but also potential training and internship positions are to be specifically acquired and accompanied. The funding is provided as a grant, covering up to 90 percent of eligible expenses, such as personnel and material costs, provided that a minimum own contribution of ten percent is made.
Legally competent bodies, such as municipalities and non-profit organizations that have conducted qualification and employment promotion measures over an extended period, are eligible for funding. A prerequisite is the deployment of professionals who possess the necessary qualifications and experience in dealing with the target group. Furthermore, an up-to-date labor market policy statement from the local Employment Agency is required for the application. The funding targets a diverse group, including persons entitled to asylum, recognized refugees, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, persons with residence permits, asylum seekers with a positive prospect of remaining, as well as tolerated persons with training or employment toleration – supplemented, if necessary, by people with migration backgrounds and integration barriers who have a secure residence status.
The funding program aims to sustainably support integration into vocational training while taking regional particularities in Bavaria into account. Through close cooperation between professionals, training companies, and other cooperation partners, a demand-oriented service structure is created that improves both the vocational orientation and the long-term prospects of the target group. Applications are generally submitted four to five months before the project start and are subject to a thorough review of the conceptual achievement of objectives, the qualification of the deployed personnel, and an economical deployment plan. With this support, the Free State of Bavaria makes an important contribution to an inclusive and future-oriented training environment.
