Description
The project Training Anchor by the Achtung!Kinderseele Foundation is aimed at trainers, training supervisors, HR staff, craftsmen in master courses, vocational school teachers, as well as school social workers in Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In a free webinar training series on Zoom, participants receive comprehensive knowledge about the mental health of trainees, learn about common disorders and the consequences of substance abuse, and acquire methods for sensitive communication and trust-building relationship development. The training sessions, conducted in four sessions by specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, provide practical tools to recognize psychological stress early and prevent unnecessary training dropouts. There is also space for individual questions and exchange within fixed learning groups of up to 30 people.
The eight-week pilot program targets companies and public institutions that wish to strengthen their training quality and social responsibility. Registration via email and allocation of places through a waiting list enable continuous participation – places are limited due to restricted group sizes. The initiative is currently running in Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is expected to expand to Schleswig-Holstein in 2026, with a planned nationwide rollout. Since participation is free of charge, Training Anchor offers a low-threshold opportunity to promote the mental health of young people and secure stable training pathways in the long term.
