Description

The Sparkassen Foundation "Zukunft Elbe-Elster-Land" annually awards the Training Prize to five outstanding trainees residing in the Elbe-Elster region. With funding of up to €1,000, the initiative recognizes exceptional training achievements and contributes to strengthening regional vocational education. In addition to financial recognition, the award aims to publicly highlight successful training companies and thereby support the preservation of local traditions in the crafts and agricultural sectors. The award ceremony takes place during a formal event where the awardees are presented together with their nominated companies.

Eligible for funding are trainees nominated by the Niederlausitz District Guild of Crafts Finsterwalde, the Cottbus Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), or the Elbe-Elster District Farmers' Association. Key criteria for the award are outstanding academic and practical performance as well as a recommendation from one of the partner institutions. Since the call for applications remains open continuously, new talents can be nominated each year. This form of regional support strengthens young professionals' identification with their home region and sends a visible signal for training excellence in the Elbe-Elster area.
