Description
AusbildungWeltweit – Mobility of Trainees and Trainers promotes international learning stays nationwide during vocational training. The program of the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) is aimed at companies and educational institutions that wish to offer their trainees and trainers the opportunity to expand professional skills and gain intercultural experience. The application round starts on January 23, 2026, and the deadline is February 24, 2026. Approved measures can begin from June 1, 2026, and cover a maximum project duration of up to 12 months. The goal is to deploy national trainees and junior professionals in international host companies to promote knowledge transfer and personal development.
Travel costs, insurance costs, language courses, and living expenses are funded to ensure a smooth stay. Applications are evaluated based on the quality of the training concept, a concrete learning and deployment plan, as well as the proven partnership with the host company. For the application, a letter of intent, a detailed project description, and a financing plan are required. The program implementation and professional support are provided by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), which serves as the central contact point and supports with detailed guidelines for application and accounting. AusbildungWeltweit thus offers a practice-oriented opportunity to combine training and international mobility and to strengthen the future viability of tomorrow’s skilled workforce.
