Equipment for Meditation Groups

The West-Eastern Wisdom – Willigis Jäger Foundation supports private individuals nationwide in founding Zen and contemplative meditation groups within the context of the Willigis Jäger lineages. Funding is provided for the acquisition of meditation materials such as sitting mats, cushions, benches, or bells with a subsidy of 30% of the net new purchase price. A prerequisite is a well-founded contemplative or Zen practice as well as the qualification of the group leader as a teacher of a Willigis Jäger lineage or proof of a reference teacher. Applications can be submitted at any time; only the materials listed in the official list are eligible expenses. The continuous funding opportunity offers a sustainable framework for the development of vibrant shared practice spaces and contributes to strengthening social cohesion in the areas of health and commitment to democracy.

For the application, a fully completed funding application and a detailed overview of the desired meditation accessories are required. Upon a positive decision, the foundation transfers the proportional subsidy directly to the applicants. The aim of the funding is to establish viable groups that draw on the inspiration of Willigis Jäger’s West-Eastern Wisdom and create a spiritual meeting place. The initiative not only supports the equipment of individual communities but also enables the long-term development of a nationwide network structure of meditation groups in Germany.
