Description
The International Bach Academy Stuttgart offers BachBewegt! Begegnung!, an innovative music-educational workshop format in Baden-Württemberg. In interactive sessions, school classes and young people engage intensively with concert programs together with experienced music educators and members of the Gaechinger Cantorey. The engagement in the classroom or community hall lays the foundation for the subsequent live experience at the subscription concerts in Stuttgart. There, new perspectives open up: learned material is recognized in melodies, sound structures are experienced collectively, and a deeper understanding of Johann Sebastian Bach’s worlds of work is fostered. BachBewegt! Begegnung! combines cultural education, musical practice, and communal experience, thus making a significant contribution to the cultural and aesthetic education of children and young people.
Eligible for funding are educational institutions in cooperation with a school or youth group. Participation in at least one subscription concert of the 2025/26 season in Stuttgart is a prerequisite—additional dates can be arranged upon consultation. Registration is continuously possible. For the application, a completed registration form is required, which can be requested directly from the International Bach Academy Stuttgart. BachBewegt! Begegnung! is specifically aimed at teachers, educational professionals, and youth leaders who plan musical projects with school classes and youth groups and place value on practical mediation and sustainable enthusiasm for classical music.
